Dear Husband

I have now seated myself to answer 2 letters one by Mr Shrode an other by mail I felt very sad to hear of your having such a serious spell & was almost ready to start to see you but your last letter gives me more encouraging news and I have concluded to wait until about the 12 of this month I intend bringing Gena [i.e., Eugene Thomas] with me
I was down at French Island to day to take Flora to Creeds to attend school I brought Mother up with me to stay with Jane & the children until I get home I feel some what woried after my long ride but I am getting some better
I did not finish my letter to last night and Mr Smith is Just going In town & I can send It by him
I may not get off before the 16 do not make your self uneasy & expect me to soon for I have a good many things I want to attend to before I leave take good care of your self

your affectionate wife
Minerva Thomas
