Harlan has gone to Louisvill with prisoners I expect him back every day I was a little disapointed in not haveing him as our orderly but I am in hopes it is all for the best I think if I can get a Corp I shall take it allthough it is not a very good postion but that is the way aman has got to come up in the army it is step by step and from Corp to Sergt and so on up if I could get in some place where I could write it would be easyer for me but I am not good enough pen man for that but I might improve by practising you know but some how or other I am not the lucky one and so I have to trust on a private in the ranks
