Very warm Releived at 4.o.c.P.M under Marching Orders Break up camp at 6.o.c.P.M Arrive in old camp at Sniders Bluff [sp. Snyder's Bluff] at 10.o.c Receive three Letters Two from Ill & one from Wis Our destination not known to us yet

FRIDAY, JULY 24, 1863.

Pleasent Embark on board the transport Autocrat at 9 O.C. High Fever to Day Fine shower in the afternoon Once more afloat on the Old Mississippi

 

WEDNESDAY 22

Warm Sign the Pay Rolls Shake with the Ague Fine Shower this afternoon

 

SATURDAY 25

Very Warm Having a very pleasent trip nothing worthy of note

 

THURSDAY 23

Cloudy Receive our Pay Ordered to strike tents for a start Pitch tents again

 

SUNDAY 26

Warm in forenoon Disembark at Helena Camp 22 miles below Town Rain in the .P.M No Ague to day Dress Parade at sun set DK Shakes
