SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 1863.

Cold but pleasent Went to Mr Wilcoxes in the evening

TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 1863

Cloudy with rain at 12.o.c. Rained all day start for Fort snelling at 9.o.c. Report at 12.o.c, find most of the Boys there, all well & fealing good

 

SUNDAY 11

Clear & pleasent Went to Meeting to Waterford

 

WEDNESDAY 14

Cold & stomey with high wind E Freygang [i.e., Private Edward Freygang] arrived at 3 1/2.o.c. Very cold at knight

 

MONDAY 12

Very pleasent, arrive in St. Paul stop at the Farmers Home

 

THURSDAY 15

Very Cold & icy start for Dixey Detailed to take charge of the Wagon train, Diner at Mr Schofields Arrive in Hastings at dark, froze my foot, stay all knight at J N Bill
