SUNDAY, JANUARY 4, 1863. Very pleasent went to church in the forenon Retured home at knight B.		WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 1863. Very cold, Travel from Rice Lake to Northfield, to stay to Mr Wilcoxes, Bought a pair of Boots of Mr Dockwood $4 1/2
MONDAY 5 Pleasent Start for Fort snelling stay all night with H Lasure		THURSDAY 8 Clear & cold, Went over to Mr Barretts
TUESDAY 6 Clear & cold, Travel from Salem to Rice Lake, Distance 25 miles, very tired		FRIDAY 9 Pleasent Remain at Mr Barretts
